We finally broke the silence and did our first live studio broadcast this year If you were able to tune you got to see a bunch of pendants being made and a handful of beads. Big Hole Pandora Beads

Since things in our Etsy store have slowed to a screeching halt I now have more beads than I have places to store them. Everywhere you look in our house you will most likely see a bead just sitting there all lonely waiting for a new home

So….After a very long hiatus from eBay I have decided to get back into the auction game. I may not get as much money for my work but I figure hey they don’t do me any good sitting around here now do they. Watching people bid on my beads is kind of fun as well, even if it does end lower than I would usually sell the item for. At least I know they are finally going to their new happy home.

Now that you’ve seen how these were made live on camera. Here are the pieces all in their crystal clear detailed photos

First off, here is the set of marbles that I made for a gift. Had I more time I would have made these a bit more elaborate, but their birthday is tomorrow lol. So I had to settle for quick and simple Either way the colors in these are very nice. And lucky for me they all came out of the kiln the same color. These are for a marble game and the set needs to look the same so the player knows which ones are their marbles. And if your wondering it’s a game called Aggravation

We also had a request to show how glass is fumed. This bead at your right is a dark ivory base overlaid with silvered ivory shards and a couple murrini chips. We then fumed it with silver giving this bead a really nice warm golden wheat color. You can’t see it in the photo, but the murrini chips also have goldstone in them, but due to the fuming it sort of hid the sparkle.

And now the bead you all couldn’t wait to see Now mind you, this is not my best encased floral. I messed up the petals on two of the flowers, but hey nature isn’t perfect either right? I used two different stamen canes in this bead along with nile green vine cane, and leaf cane.

Both of the beads from last night are now up for purchase in our online store. I hope that everyone enjoyed the show last night and will be back for the next broadcast!

Here is what is new with my eBay auctions. Three more unique and gorgeous focal beads have just been uploaded. Again, all starting at just .99 cents!

I will be listing the majority of my beads in an effort to move the large mass of beads I seem to have started stock piling Most of these beads I retail for $30-$60 so this is an excellent chance for everyone to possibly get them at greatly reduced prices.

We had ourselves another fun filled night! Had a small group of watchers but we still had a great time on the broadcast. Thanks to all of you for tuning in.

First up is the example bead that I made for the “fine” size Rosewood Fusion Frit. This is a woody mix that will lend itself well to organic beads. I forget what the base glass was, I think transparent cobalt. It was wrapped in silver foil and then dipped into the frit, shaped, carved and it came out beautiful!

Had to try another scarab bead last night, and this one came out much better. Still have some fine tuning that I’d like to do with my details though.

Also made another example bead last night with the yet to be released and named Super Silver shard. I think this is going to be one of my new favorite shards to use. Bead was made with a trans cobalt base wrapped in my Raku Ribbon Twist canes and then overlaid with these new shards. Yum!

And lastly, something new that I’ve never tried before. I call them Window Jars. They have no other purpose other than to look pretty hanging in your window :). I suppose you could put some kind of keepsake in them if you wanted. The first one I made went on without a hitch. The second one however cracked on me just before I was ready to put it in the kiln. Didn’t bother me all that much because I didn’t like how the mouth or handle came out anyway.

Now just imagine one of these (or several ) hanging in your window with the sunlight playing with its colors. I will definitely be making more of these for sale!

Instead of me blabbering on for 10 minutes I’ll cut right to the chase. You don’t want to have to scroll through all my words to get to the bead pictures. That’s what your here for anyway right?

First off here are the two cats from last night. I hope you all aren’t sick of seeing these yet This first one I made for an example of the new Cherry Smash Fusion Frit. He was made with the fine size frit. Love his over sized amber eyes!

This second cat has even bigger eyes! Made with a black base that was overlaid with my ultra cool Borealis shards. I should have struck them more before putting on the details but it still came out with its beautiful blues and greens.

We also have released our second Fusion Frit color called Sea Breeze. If anyone loves to use blue as much as me, your going to love this color!! The two tube focals below were made using the medium size frit that is now available in our store.

OK now don’t laugh but here is my first attempt at a scarab bead. I realize after looking at scarab photos on the Internet that the picture in my head was a bit off I’ll know for next time though how it should look. I’ll also leave off the eyes next time as I think they look better in a more abstract way.

And….. here is a sneak preview of a new shard, and a new shard line that is coming! They will be called Super Silvers and this first one is gorgeous! The colors it produces are out of this world. I haven’t named this new shard yet so I’m still mulling that over. Any ideas?

Why are they called Super Silvers you ask? Well these are a mix that is nothing but silver, made by mixing several different silver glasses and then I add even more silver to it in the way of silver foils. So now you can see why they have been labeled as Super Silvers We plan on releasing this new shard line soon. I will keep everyone updated as the time gets closer.
